Tonight he couldn’t hide
Behind the hybrid army lie.
A single tear in his eye -
When shattered was his pride.

A crack broke through his shell
And opened wide to witness hell.
The long awaited night of doom
Wrapped every heavy breath in gloom.

When daddy showed up at the door
Whatever hope there was - he tore.
The only thing he’d ever craved
As if with stake was mercilessly slayed.

Then daddy’s laugh cut through his ear
And now he knew  - no need to fear.
He never would’ve won this war
He never would’ve healed the sore.

And suddenly it fell apart
No love was in his daddy’s heart.
No matter what he did and tried
It’d long been lost and left to die.

He couldn’t touch the petrous soul
He couldn’t find the soul at all.
And somewhere on the icy way
He let his own just slip away.

To earn that love in efforts lost
His own he gave to pay the cost.
His heart had turned to stone
And left him there all alone.
